Addendum: Taking Birds on your road Trip

1)      Make sure they are all in a cage

2)      Make sure the cage is belted into the seat.  This make sit safer for the birds and a smoother ride for them as well.

3)        Bring a cage cover.  One or more of your birds may not be good in cars, and may thrash around.  Cover the cage to reduce the stress on the bird.

4)      People are used to seeing dogs and cats at gas stations, rest stops and other stops along the way.  Birds are more of a novelty.  You may want to cover the cage at stops or have to kindly ask strangers from pressing up against your windows

5)      If you are traveling in the summer, please make sure your car is air conditioned.  Do not try and bake your birds!
