Please, keep your animal safe while road tripping. Make sure the animals are secure in the vehicle. tat mans if they need to be in a cage or carrier, make sure they are in it. If the cage or carrier needs to be seat beleted in. remember it is your job to keep them safe too. If you have an animal that hates to travel, you may have to cover the carrier at times to decrease the stress on him or her. When you stop for breaks, make sure your animal is on a leash. Dogs have been known to run away or even worse into traffic when not secured. If you must pull over on the side of the road…DO NOT let your animal out of the vehicle. If you must, please keep him or her on a leash. This is very dangerous! Once while on tour a car was on the side of the highway and they just let their dogs out to run. Of course the dogs ran into the road, and there was nothing we could do. We felt so awful about hitting the one dog, but at the same time, we were angry with the owner for being so neglegent!
