5/16: Contacting Southwest Airlines

In the past, I have been vocal about having issues with Southwest Airlines lack of online contact.  Do not get me wrong, the Customer Service staff is awesome, and they have always done right by me.  However, you will have to be able to call them during their business hours (Mon – Fri, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CT) or write a letter.  They will call you back, or return your letter with a prompt reply.  That isn’t my issue.  My concern is with those of us who work dring their business hours. We are pretty much stuck going the letter route.  This is fine, but what happens if your letter is lost in the mail or misplaced?  Well I have some good news.  First, I just read on Southwest’s webiste they are working on an e-mail platform.  That means it is a only a matter of time before e-mail contact is available.  There are a few things you can do to contact them electronically.  You can join the Southwest Airlines group on Facebook and you can follow SouthwestAirlines on Twitter.  If you send them a direct message or a reply message they will get back to you ASAP.  They will not be able to answer all of your questions, but it is a way to contact them quickly.  You have to have a Twitter account  to follow Southwest, but it is free and at times well worth it.
